GBR 1853

This boat was built by Don Young and was owned from new by Ted Hammond and was raced at Hykeham SC near Lincoln.

After a number of years in storage David and Nick Hammond sailed it together at the ‘97 and ‘98 nationals and during that time it underwent a complete overhaul by Nigel Potter at Paintcraft in Nottingham. The refurb included installing a raking rig and cutting out the transom to bring it up to date with the modern boats of the of the time.
