Following on from the "Beaver" thread and the apparent scope for verbal misunderstandings between Brits & North Americans, an item on Yachts & Yachting's website caught my eye - an article about Horning Sailing Club - Horning is of course on the Norfolk Broads. One can imagine the disappointment of some of our North American friends on arrival at the said club and finding it is a very ordinary sailing club on the river near Norwich, and the "Broads" are just lakes

The next club West from Lyme is of course Beer Sailing Club- a name which has disappointed a few UK sailors of course
