Does any one know the origin of the Frank Johnson Albacores made in Cheshire lates 70s?

Did he mould his own hulls or were they fit outs from another builder Young? Woof?

I've been told the same as you ... they were fitted out by Frank Johnson. I've just bought one lately and am not too sure what it is. It's not Woof, maybe Young. David T.

Derek

All wood boat inner planking is directly across the beam of the boat

the most distingishing feature on the two F Johnson boats I have seen is a planked side deck not plywood also the thwart has a big cut out or hole either side of the centre board case.
