That's great news, looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks. (Haven't seen Alex for years)
I will let the Club know to expect 3 or 4 entries from Paignton.

Thanks

The start of our Nationals on Sat 21st July coincides with the RYA 'Push the Boat Out' day to show support for our Olympic Sailors. The Albacore Class has decided this coincidence is too good an opportunity to miss and the extract from our press release at the end of this post gives some more info on what we'd like each competitor to do. Don't worry you don't have to stick anything on those freshly painted hulls -just enter in to the red white and blue spirit with your clothing and use the flags and ballons that we will provide to decorate your boat on the sail out to the first start.

Come and watch Albacore sailors ‘Push the Boat Out’ for Sail for Gold at Royal Torbay Yacht Club

Saturday 21 July sees the start of the 2012 Albacore National Championships at the Royal Torbay Yacht Club and all the competitors will be joining a host of other sailors, clubs and centres across the country by taking part in ‘Push the Boat Out’ day, as part of the RYA’s Sail for Gold celebrations.

Push the Boat Out day aims to get as many people out on the water at any one time and the Albacore class is delighted to be doing their bit by asking all competitors to decorate their boats in red, white and blue.

Publicity officer, Mike Banner, said: “We’re really excited to be part of Push the Boat Out. We hope to get over 70 people out on the water on the day and as the fleet sails out of the harbour at around 11 am it should be quite a sight for everyone in the area. We are a very friendly class so please come along to have a chat or just watch and admire the boats”.

Push the Boat Out is one of the big events on the RYA’s Sail for Gold programme calendar providing the perfect opportunity to showcase sailing to the nation and show support for our Olympic and Paralympic sailors prior to the London 2012 Games.

“We hope that clubs and centres really get in to the spirit of the day and encourage as many of their members, or visitors, as possible to get out on the water on Saturday 21 July and have fun. Being the last Saturday before the start of the London 2012 Games and it would be great to give the British Sailing Team a wonderful send off, waving flags and wishing them 'good luck' on 'Push the Boat Out' day”, commented Celia Edgington, Sail for Gold programme co-ordinator.

some more info for you.
Be aware that you can get a week's parking pass for £33 from the tourist office, so compare it with the daily parking rate (not sure what that is)
"Sailing Suppers" will be available on the Friday and Saturday nights, and a Carvery on the Sunday night prior to Michaela's Baltic talk.

Weather forecast looking like light winds for all 3 days. We have had anything but for months down here. At least we won't blow out our nice new sails B) See you tomorrow/Saturday.
