I have recently bought this lovely boat and am keen to know if there is any history about its background? It's a fairly hull

I meant its a Fairey hull I think!

I can confirm your most recent post - 1485 is indeed a Fairey hull, which was apparently finished by someone called J Banks. It was measured and registered in April 1964. The RYA have a note of the name "Maitresse", but this is not necessarily the original name (or indeed the most recent).

I can't find anything about any racing pedigree.
