I am in the process off sorting out my jib pole - replacing the line that goes thro the pole. Any one with any ideas as to the best line to use. I seem to have read somewhere that slippery rope is better - I am guessing some of the horrible nylon stuff you get a B&Q is pretty slipery - Does any one have experience of this - or alternate opinion.
thanks
Richard

Dont forget your crew has got to grip the rope onehanded to play it reaching (the sheet in the other hand)and there must be a few pounds of tension in the rope when holding the pole horizontal on a breezy run, so cheapo string should be not used. I would have thought that any 4 mm yachting rope would be OK
