Hi guys I am new to Albacore sailing so does anyone have any info on books or DVD,s that might help to get me started.

As far as I am aware there are no DVDs or books covering the Albacore specifically although our North American friends might have something.

As a general guide to sailing techniques Paul Goodison's Laser book published by the RYA is excellent. Ben Ainslie did a book & DVD a few years ago - I dont know if it is still in print. On Youtube there are some interesting clips of Lasers but still good for roll-tacking & gybing tips.

The greatest tip of all is above 5 knots of wind keep the boat as flat as possible - even heeling on top of you slightly!
