93 boats entered from 5 classes. Perhaps the committee can approach the organisers?

Hi Nev

I think everyone is still in hibernation! We have an invite albeit late to join in the Hamble Warming Pan. Blue Jay is in bits at the moment so I am not going but they will welcome some Albacores. I have done the event the last two years and enjoyed it so hope we can launch a few?

Don't know about hibernation Andy, we are having some great sailing at Maidenhead. 10 Albs in the series with some very close racing at the front.
The recent rain means the lake is as deep as I have ever seen it - we can sail over the top of the "sunken island" with full centreboard down.

I would love to do Carnac Nev, last time I sailed in that area was in the 505 French Nationals - loved it, but not sure I would get permission with kids doing GCSE and A Levels shortly after.

My boat is still in bits and needs at least another 4 weeks of work. However I am hoping to get her ready for the Maidenhead open in April. I do have a deadline for some work to be completed by the 14th April so the pressure is on.

Long days sanding and fettling then - deep joy. If its any consolation Blue Jay is finally in bits in the workshop. Trouble is other jobs are on my list as well but one way or another I will make Maidenhead with or without Blue Jay. Good luck Tim!

I've just ordered a new centerplate because my current one needs serious work to make it work and I'm not sure it will ever be any good again. Hopefully I can get a couple of coats of paint on the hull this weekend and then I can turn her over to work on the cockpit and decks. All being well I shall be at Maidenhead.
