That heavy wind was showing on Friday a couple of days ago - then Saturday.

It will have moved to Monday by the time we get to Friday!
Thankfully!!

We are racing in Poole Bay on Friday and Saturday subject of course to weather conditions - enough wind and not too much! Sunday is in the harbour so even if it is blowing we may still get some racing. Like Matt says it is ever changing.

Safe travelling for all and see you at Parkstone

It looks like we go off lightly and the decision not to sail on Sunday was correct:

GP 14 Internationals had a major incident declared as boats got hit by a squall on their way back to shore after racing was abandoned.

I have to agree with John on this. We should be happy with the decision that was taken in the interests of safety.

We were one of the last boats to pack up on Sunday lunchtime and as we were doing so the wind increased to around 35 knots. At this point even Barney admitted it was too windy to go racing though he did go on to say it was a good day for a sail (provided there was a rib following the boat!)

Hope the GP14 competitors are okay - the latest news sounds like there were no significant injuries - I have a number of friends who are at the event.
