We're going, quite a few others said they were coming, so should be good. We always get about 6 when it's not an open so expect 10+. I think we've only missed it twice in the last 23 years, its that good!

Ive Just had a quick look at the entries. 48 double handers in total of which 6 are Albs - Currently we are the most popular class. If we are one of the strongest classes present this will be a great advertisment for the class.

I guess most people camp - the club looks very well organised for campers. - I ve just got to buy a new tent as George lost the last one at Reading Festival!!!
Beth is crewing for Steve Bailey

Look forward to meeting up with every one again

All booked in - just short of a crew - family crew members at Topper event. Anyone interested or aware of an available crew?
Thanks
Mike

Excellent two days of epic sailing on Ullswater. The Lord Birkett had 231 entries including ten Albacores with boats from as far afield as Benfleet in Essex and Tewkesbury Glos. Results as follows

8209 Judy & Paul Armstrong 18th
8133 Mike Banner & crew 45th
8152 Phil Smith & Tom Williams 83rd
6959 Richard & George Smith 97th
7525 Andy Pearce & Ian Simpson 107th
6504 Steve Bailey & Beth Smith 111th
8154 Hazel & Andy Smith 118th
7407 Chris Bell & Bob Froud 124th
8155 Matt & Heather Thompson 147th
6679 Nicholas Read, Kevin Lyons
Alan Lyons and the dog 202nd

Congratulations to Paul and Judy for being top Albacore and to all who took part. A start line of 231 boats was quite a challenge!
Commiserations to Matt for his second day's result being ruled out,

Andy,

Thanks for the commiserations.
Note to self - stick a big note in the boat: SIGN ON, SIGN OFF.

I did try an appeal for a tally fine but was told in no uncertain terms it is a safety issue at UYC.

Fantastic. Great that they actually knew I was on the water for all that time???

Anyhow, by rough calculation I would have been 100th overall if it counted.

Matt.

Awesome weekend,

It's a shame they got the finishing positions wrong on the Sunday!

Matt you sailed so well, you Muppet :-) we have all done it!

Will be back next year!

Andy,

I think Sunday was wrong as well - at least at the back end!!

I'm sure Phil finished ahead of Hazel and Andy yet the results show it the other way round.

I may be wrong of course - having stuffed Phil up the last beat it was difficult to see who else had passed him ;)
