Hi Just a thought, looking at the fixtures the Inlands is a two day event, it would make sense to me and also make it possible for me to attend if the format was 2 races Saturday, 3 races Sunday and best 3 races to count, that waay people only available one day could still qualify, thoughts please.

See where your coming from, But is there a risk it would kill the Saturday!!

Graham the format is up to the host club so I am leaving SC' s Dave hopefully guided by Matt to make the decision. A 2 race Saturday followed by a 3 race Sunday, 5 races, with 2 discards is fine with me. I would do both days regardless and like you say it does allow Sunday sailors to qualify. I can't see a downside and do not think it would put off those coming for the weekend as they get more racing and the bonus of 2 discards!

Graham - the format for the Inlands at SCSC will be six races (three on each day) with two discards. In 2009, it was six races with just one discard.
