About 10,000 people will be doing so, for the Nottingham Marathon, which runs past the Club every year. And every year we manage somehow to ensure the Albacore Open coincides with it!
Not a problem, just allow a bit of extra time to get there and follow the Marshalls' directions on arrival.
If anyone wants to come early you will be very welcome to sail in our Saturday pm race as visitors, there is plenty of space to camp over in the dinghy park or across the road in the NCC camp site, there are B & B's about a mile up the road. And I have a set of bar keys!
Hope to see plenty of you on the 11th
Steve

Hannah and I plan to be there with Blaec. We would like to arrive on Saturday in time to pitch our tent, rig the boat and race if that would be ok. If we need to camp at the NCC campsite, do we need to book in advance?

PS Our favourite cider is Westons Old Rosie, Stowford Press or Scrumpy Jack ;)

Dave,
NCC campsite is vast and only really busy if there's a big event at the National Watersports Centre. I will enquire for you this weekend. How much room do you need for your tent, I seem to remember its about the size of a rugby pitch? Might have to move a few boats round the dinghy park. Loony juice shouldn't be a problem.
Cheers
Steve

Steve,
Many thanks for doing that. Our tent measures 460cm x 390cm though we've not tried playing rugby in it yet.
Looking forward to seeing you again.

Steve,

I've been looking at the forecast for the weekend and have decided not to camp but have booked a B&B instead.

It should be an exiting event if the foreecast is correct :)
